Born and raised in inner city Chicago, LuKo (Loukas Koyonos) was exposed to a vast array of culture growing up in one of the formative hubs for early house music, while simultaneously being raised by a traditional Greek bouzouki player. Early on though, he gravitated toward rap, rock, and blues and so he took up guitar, performing, and creating when time allowed. Music remained pervasive as he pursued a career as an orthopedic surgeon, but in 2024 he embarked on a journey to take music more serious than ever. As his taste moved toward EDM, house, funk and experimental sounds, he committed fully to a life of artistic creativity, teaching himself to produce, mix, master, learn new instruments, develop his voice, and perform. Herein lies the LuKo of now - residing in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two kids, he is overjoyed to share his project and be a part of the music composition and performance community.
Luko's vibe is A SOUND ALL HIS OWN, INTEGRATING HIS LOVE OF MELODIC & PROGRESSIVE HOUSE, TECHNO, FUNK, DANCE AND trance. HE draws influence from artists like lane 8, rufus du sol and kasablanca to name a few. ultimately, there are no boundries and he creates art authentically and unapologetically, expressing the emotions and creativity of the moment.
